Is CBD Safe For Your Dog?

We also don’t recommend that you provide your dog with CBD meant for humans, as it may contain ingredients like xylitol or grapeseed oil that are toxic to dogs. Also, you should monitor your pet closely for any potential side effects, including dry mouth, lowered blood pressure, etc.
Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine is one of the few research facilities that is testing the effects of CBD on dogs specifically. Their research has yielded some interesting and promising results, particularly in the use of CBD as a treatment for canine epilepsy. In their clinical trial, they found that CBD reduces the number of seizures in dogs with idiopathic epilepsy.
Certainly, more research needs to be done, but this study was a huge step toward legitimizing the use of CBD and encouraging other scientists to study CBD for uses beyond epilepsy, such as soothing anxiety and reducing inflammation and pain or even as a helpful aid for dogs with cancer. We are excited to see what the future brings, as we truly believe that CBD is an excellent wellness product for dogs and cats.

Additionally, while we don’t recommend using human CBD with dogs, our CBD is perfectly safe for humans, so feel free to use this product if you are interested in using CBD, as well.
Additionally, we offer Naked Dogibles CBD Oil Pawscription Strength. This is an all-natural, holistic drop instead of a spray. Each dropper contains 6 milligrams of CBD and is our strongest formula. This option is meant for use with senior dogs, large breeds and serious ailments.
With all of these varieties, each contains 0.3% THC or less, which means this product is in no way psychoactive. The product also contains chamomile essential oil, sweet orange essential oil, coconut oil and vegetable glycerin. These essential oils also can be beneficial for dogs.
Chamomile essential oil has been shown to have calming effects and may help with anxiety relief as well as easing certain skin conditions and reducing inflammation and pain. The sweet orange essential oil has been shown to help boost immunity, as well as reduce inflammation, soothe muscle aches and may even help improve the condition of the skin.
